1: believe that there are still issues for women in the workplace. In today’s society there is still pay inequality. We still see a significant pay gap between women and men in higher paying positions. The government needs to enforce more laws to prohibit and eliminate the pay gap. I have also experienced gender discrimination due to being in a position of power. An individual was transferred to a different team because he did not want to be told what to do by a women. Also, in my interview for a supervisory role, I was asked sexist questions that made me uncomfortable but yet, is there any laws against this behavior?
2:I would have to say that there are issues but they come from insecure men. Women over the time have proven to be just as successful when it comes to employment. As more women continue to take pride and are willing to prove that they can do certain jobs, men would have no choice but to see things different. Everyone should be treated as equal and given a far chance to prove themselves. If males do not like taking “orders” from females they are more than welcome to find other employment.
3:Women make up more than half of the professional and technical workforce in the United States. While the status for women in the workforce has improved over the last several decades, many women still struggle for equality in many occupations. Women are earning post-secondary degrees at a faster rate than men are, yet a wage gap persists. Some portion of the wage gap may result from decisions women make, personal job preference, or socio-economic circumstances; however, many still face overt or subtle employment discrimination, contributing to continued inequality. While a larger proportion of women are entering the workforce, uneven representation across occupations and industries persists. In 2013, women were less than 40 percent of those in management occupations. Within the numerous professional and technical occupations, women are disproportionately represented, with high concentrations in some occupations and far below average in others. While less than 10 percent of electrical and electronics engineers and computer network architects were women in 2013, more than 90 percent of speech and language pathologists and kindergarten teachers were women. In other occupations, such as biological scientists and artists, representation of men and women was closer to equal.

5:With the company that I work for, we only use apple products. That makes me personally happy because in my own home I only use apple products as well. In my opinion, they are much easier to use and much more user friendly. In the workplace we only give out Ipads and IPhones to full time employees. Part time employees that come in with their own device and want me to put our email on their phone gives me headaches. I have a really hard time navigating through any type of android device or other operation system because I am so used to the apple products. I could relate to how some companies may be biased and only use one system for their whole entire company, in the long run, it makes things simple.
